Team – Karyn Challender

Karyn is an accounting, bookkeeping, and tax professional federally licensed as an Enrolled Agent (EA) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. She brings extensive expertise in financial management, compliance, and reporting across multiple sectors. Her background includes accounting roles with Weyerhaeuser, Washington State Business Bank, and regional law firms, as well as serving as a tax examiner and financial analyst within several Washington State agencies.

In 2023, Karyn founded Accounting with Karyn, LLC, where she provides comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Her deep understanding of fiscal systems, regulatory requirements, and nonprofit fund accounting ensures strong financial oversight and transparency for Reading Equity Project.

Originally from California, Karyn has called Washington home since the 1990s.
